STUDIO 17 DANCE
Imagine | Create | Innovate
Welcome to the next level in professional dance instruction. Choreographer, director, and owner, Avery Zink, opened Studio 17 Dance with the sole objective of offering innovative and creative instruction while incorporating appropriate technique. Our staff of professional instructors teach the needed skills to build classically trained dancers with a competitive edge. Studio 17 Dance focuses on the development of the whole child, giving them confidence to explore how dance can inspire and influence daily life. Come dance with us! You will not only see the difference; you will feel it!
Studio 17 Dance is conveniently located in the heart of Virginia Beach, just minutes away from Town Center and interstate arteries, making it the perfect choice of studios for today’s busy families. Our facility proudly houses two studio spaces to accommodate the growing needs of our enrollment.
We currently offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes. Disciplines offered include ballet, pointe, contemporary, conditioning/stretch, jazz, aerial arts, and hip hop. Our instructors will place dancers in the appropriate class based upon current technique level and age. In addition to our scheduled classes, we also offer studio rental packages. Please call the studio for specific information.
Students who attend classes at Studio 17 Dance come to us with diverse motivation. Some have never danced before and choose to begin their journey with us. Some seasoned dancers have joined us to seek different perspectives in dance instruction. While others have come seeking personalized choreography for competitions, pageants, and college/professional auditions.
Whether seeking a professional career in dance, or simply dancing for the sheer joy of self-expression, Studio 17 Dance would love to be your studio of choice.

Studio 17 takes the state mandates for COVID very seriously. This season, class sizes will purposely be kept to a minimum. Ballet barres, mats, and exercise equipment will be sanitized before and after classes. Restrooms will be cleaned several times a night. Hand soap and paper towels will always be available. High touch surfaces will be cleaned frequently – including light switches, doorknobs, and tabletops. Hand sanitizers are placed throughout the facility. Masks will now be required during class and throughout the facility. The lobby will remain open only if parents can practice safe distancing from others and wear masks.
It is our belief that if we all adhere to these measures, Studio 17 can safely operate without interruption for the 2020-2021 season.
